Cover Art—The Ten Thousand

For Paul Kearney's The Ten Thousand.
The world of Kuf, an ancient Assurian Empire, dominant, prestigious and thought to be invincible, is about to be shaken to its very foundations. An exile from the empire, the Great King’s brother, hires a force of ten thousand elite mercenaries of a legendary race known as the Macht to take the throne by force. But when their employer is killed, the Ten Thousand find themselves abandoned. This is the story of their fight for freedom, and marks the start of a brand new series by one of the finest writers of fantasy around.
We've read the first chapters of this... Boy, are you fantasy readers in for a treat later next year.

But who is the illustrator on this cover?

Why, that would be Mister Chris McGrath, sir.

Damn. I was going to pass that one off as my own...

Wow. You guys could sell books on just the cover art alone. And you probably do.

Hey Angela,

Yep, we do have some pretty covers. We've got a fine designer with our Darius, too, it has to be said.

And I think it helps that what goes on between our covers is nicely satisfying as well...

looks like a romance novel with pretty boy there.

Robert: We wouldn't say so. A pretty rugged chap. Lean, because he's a soldier. Iconic, even.

Or maybe we're just very much used to exquisite handsomeness in the Solaris office... Even George, in his best bib and tucker is known to send ladies' hearts aflutter.
