More wingéd goodness, as we continue our posts on our favourite dragons...

Who doesn't love a dragon, eh?

James Maxey's excellent Dragon Apocalypse trilogy is now available as a DRM-free download available direct from our webshop. To celebrate, the members of the Solaris team have been reminiscing about their favourite dragons from literature, comics, and film.

Next up is Abaddon Books' commissioning editor David Moore...

Favourite dragon? That’s a tricky one. It’s such an iconic part of the fantasy genre; I've read/watched countless dreadful or endlessly derivative depictions of dragons, but that still leaves no end of amazing dragons: The Hobbit’s sinister Smaug, The White Dragon’s plucky Ruth, Sean Connery’s rather wonderful dragon-cum-fraudster Draco from Dragonheart...

I think I’m going to with Errol, the little guy from Terry Pratchett’s Guards! Guards! He’s a wonderful underdog, at about eighteen inches long, who fights, and defeats, a full-size terrifying uber-dragon, using reconfigured organs – and the power of physics.

The three books of James Maxey's Dragon Apocalypse trilogy - GreatshadowHush, and Witchbreaker - are available as individual ebooks or as an omnibus from the Rebellion store right now.
