A Dribble Of Anthology Reviews

Aidan, at the Dribble of Ink blog, is posting a story by story review of The Solaris Book of New Fantasy. So far he is only a few stories into the collection, so stay tuned.

I like this way of handling anthology reviews, rather than a larger summary of them all. It seems to be the more analytical approach, and gives air time to each author for a more detailed consideration. It seems that it's the sort of thing a blog reviewer can do, more so than in a magazine or newspaper, due to restrictions on article word count. Maybes the internets has some use after all.

It's nice to know that my approach to the anthology review is appreciated! I've been really enjoying having the ability to approach each story on its own merits and give due time and credit where it's deserved.

I've been enjoying the collection immensely and will hopefully be tackling The Solaris Book of New Science Fiction the same way!

Hey, Aidan. Yeah, I think this approach is great. In away, it's one of the best formats for blog reviews of anthologies, to do them story by story. That way it gives you the one and think it over. I'll be checking back to see what you think of the rest of the collection!
